My journey to becoming an artist began with a deep-rooted appreciation of wilderness and nature which has grown stronger over time. I have a particular interest in those aspects of the natural world that are misunderstood, neglected and often persecuted. The nature writer Robert Macfarlane stated that “If we don’t love something, we will never want to save it” so through creating work I try to redress this balance and shine a positive light on every living thing.
